3D/ 4D Scan

3D / 4D scan

A 3D scan provides a static life-like image of the baby, whereas a 4D scan is a real-time moving image of the baby. Both scans take about 30 minutes, though it may take longer depending on the baby’s position and movement. These scans are not meant to replace the routine 2nd trimester screening scans.

This form of ultrasound has changed the way in which we can all view your developing baby. These 3D and 4D scans give our patients a sneak peek at what their baby would potentially look like in addition to reassuring them that their baby is developing normally.

Do 3D and 4D ultrasound scans have any limitations?
